JFS and San Diego County Library Citizenship Education Partnership

Jewish Family Service is proud to announce a new citizenship education partnership with San Diego County Libraries! With the help of SDCL staff and trained instructors, our new JFS-SDCL partnership offers potential students with greater class availability and scheduling throughout San Diego county at the following locations:

  • Borrego Springs
  • Casa de Oro
  • El Cajon
  • Spring Valley
  • La Mesa
  • Lincoln Acres
  • San Marcos
  • Rancho San Diego

The partnership is a new endeavor to provide San Diego county residents with greater accessibility to citizenship education and receive assistance in the naturalization process, with in site visits from JFS Immigration Specialists. Citizenship applicants are tested on their knowledge of U.S history and civics, along with their ability to read, write, and speak English. All classes are FREE and available for all English levels.

Class registration is available in class the first two weeks! For pre-registration at individual libraries, please contact the library directly. For general information on citizenship classes, requirements, forms, and schedules, please contact Paulina Bermudez at (858) 637-3364 or paulinab@jfssd.org.
