Meet Tate. Tate is our youngest volunteer. He chose to spend his summer at JFS, with Blanche and the other members of the Balboa Avenue Older Adult Center (BAOAC). I mean, look at this kid! He is the perfect example of giving selflessly. I am so thankful for Tate and his family, who allowed him to spend so much time with us. Tate starts school again soon, but he has already committed to returning on his breaks. And the older adults couldn’t be happier. 

Summer Food Boost!
School’s out, but hunger never stops! Help keep our food pantry stocked by leading a food drive this summer! During the summer months the food supply at local food pantries starts to dwindle, and we need your support to keep families fed this summer. We can supply you with bins and pick up. Highly desired items include: canned tuna, peanut butter, dried beans, oatmeal, rice, pasta, canned vegetables and soups, toiletries, and diapers. Contact Brendan Rosen at brendanr@jfssd.org or (858) 637-3243 to get started today!
